Section 13 Notice

 

From 1st May 2026 the way for you to increase rent is by serving a two month notice.

We can assist you with completing the form, serving the notice and deciding on what the increase could be in order to prevent it going to a tribunal.

It replaces renewing the agreement as a way of increasing the rent and once you have set the ball rolling and successfully managed the first rent increase, this should then become an annual event, otherwise the rent in real terms would otherwise be decreasing.
